Aquarium International is a creative initiative of Boris Grebenshikov that came to life in 2008. The purpose and idea behind the project was the desire to expand the performance capabilities of the "traditional" Aquarium collective.

Meanwhile...: а team of pragmatic idealists who call themselves 'Kroogi' was working on an idea for a new social network aimed at assisting the artistic people to realize their beautiful ideas. They were inspired by the desire to banish commercial requirements from the temple of artistic creation, and by their love of music - especially the music of Aquarium. Having learned of Kroogi's existence, Boris Grebeshikov decided that such kindred spirit undertakings can and must support each other.
